The Hawaiian Civic Club of Waimanalo gathered its country style baked goods and set up shop on the grounds of the Kapiolani park bandstand, for the annual Kuhio day parade and festival. As usual the park was filled with the sound of music and the scent of teriyaki in the air. Of course our pastry booth was a favorite stopping off point for many of the attendee’s, visitor and local alike, as we sold every tasty tidbit of sweetness that we brought with us. It was a fun and relaxing morning and early afternoon, as the park filled with beautiful music, dance and ono grinds. New members Willy & Blanche McMillan with their daughters Trinity Ayanna and Lily, Faith Kai’ama and her daughter Na Huina, and Renee Kama were a huge hit with our club and our many customers. Much Aloha to our long time members who also provided great support. Below are some snapshots of the days activities.
