New partnership with Affordable Housing & Homeless Alliance

January 14, 2012 marked the beginning of a long relationship of “bridge building”, between the Affordable Housing and Homeless Alliance, Ho’olu’a and the Hawaiian Civic Club of Waimanalo.  As Anakala Roy (Chairman of Ho’olu’a) met with Doran Porter,  CEO/Executive Director of AHHA, to discuss projects that would address  immediate, and long term needs of the homeless in Waimanalo.  Also attending this meeting was Glenn Sawai, present chairman of the board with the Hawaii Centers for Independent Living-Hawaii, and Paul Rudell, Project Manager for AHHA.  Phillip Ana of Ka’a’awa, and board member of Ho’olu’a was also in attendence.  Project mana’o was abundant, as we discussed plans for year 2012’s theme “Building Bridges to Miracles”.
